the dining cars. The Observation Car with large picture windows and a spacious open-air balcony, is positioned at the rear of the train. With handsome wood panelling and period Edwardian features, the air-conditioned suites boast en
suites, original fittings combined with modern technology and 24 hour room service, the suites are the epitome of luxury.

On this 1,600 kilometre journey, travel the grasslands of the gold-rich Highveld to the haunting barrenness of the Great Karoo. Enjoy a tour of Kimberley, including the Diamond Mine Museum and the world’s largest man-made excavation, the Big Hole. Meander through the spectacular mountain ranges and scenic winelands of the Cape and visit the perfectly preserved Victorian village of Matjiesfontein. The journey ends in Cape Town, the Mother City of South Africa, cradled by the imposing bulk of Table Mountain, Devil’s Peak and Lion’s Head.
