Taj Dubai Review
The Taj Dubai occupies one of the most sought after locations in the Middle East. Nestled in the city centre with a selection of rooms with phenomenal views directly onto the Burj Khalifa, it’s only 5 minutes from the Dubai Mall, home of the most incredible dining, shopping and entertainment.
If you are looking for a luxurious and extravagant stay, loaded with both Arabic culture and Indian hospitality, wrapped in a contemporary style, the newly built (just celebrated its 2nd birthday!) Taj Dubai is a beacon.
As we recently discovered by staying in-house, the moderately priced rooms feature some incredible features, such as a full bath tub looking onto the floor to ceiling windows, which feature breathtaking views across to the Burj.
There is a plethora of internationally recognised award-winning in-house eateries, from Bombay Brasseries (‘Best Fine Dining in the Middle East’ by Ahlan Magazine, 2015/2016) to the Eloquent Elephant and Treehouse Bar (both finalists in the Timeout Dubai Music & Nightlife Awards 2017).
From your moment of arrival, greeted with the distinctive Taj Dubai welcome ceremony for every single guest, right through to your personalised check in and check out, every aspect of extravagance is layered with that ‘new Middle East’ coolness vibe.
The outdoor pool’s bar was both inviting and hard to leave – with very well priced beverages supplied with the true Taj Dubai sense of hospitality and style.
The hotel has uninterrupted full wifi for all guests, along with 24 hour access to the TRX fitness centre, both included in your rate for all guests.
Breakfast was an international delight, featuring over a hundred dishes from around the world, focusing on the fresh, flavoursome and wholesome ingredients available daily at the Dubai Market.
A must do is evening drinks on the balcony watching from your front-row seats as the Burj lights up the night sky. Of course, Dubai knows how to do luxury, and the Taj brand is synonymous with both eloquence and elegance.
All in all, a truly exceptional experience, and with prices starting at AU$195 a night during the low season, one which cannot be passed up!
Planetdwellers Hot Tip: The afternoon high tea served at the Byzantium Lounge is spectacular. A full range of classic and Middle Eastern teas and coffees, served with your high tea essentials such as cakes and slices.
Heads Up: Dubai as a city is constantly under construction. Whilst the hotel is fully insulated against noise, the construction on surrounding roads does make access tricky. There are several buildings under construction around the hotel, which means in a few years the views will become less spectacular. Go now is the best plan!
