Our day starts with your onboard breakfast pastries, as we head south through sprawling Sydney metropolitan suburban areas. Your knowledgable guide will explain a little about the history of the areas we’re travelling through.
We stop off at the stunning Stanwell Tops to view the incredible clifftop drop into the Southern Pacific Ocean below.
It’s a very popular spot for hang-gliders and paragliders and you’ll be amazed as they launch themselves off the edge and gently floating down to the beach hundreds of metres below. What a rush!
We then head down the mountain and continue along the glorious Grand Pacific Drive.
The road hugs the ocean, the beaches and the mountainsides, and we’ll travel over the famous Sea Cliff Bridge through the surf city of Wollongong to Kiama.
It’s here in this buzzing seaside hamlet that you’ll see one of Australia’s most iconic natural wonders, the Kiama Blowhole.
This famous geyser of seawater that jets out of this ancient volcanic lava flow can rise up to 30 metres on different tides!
After that, it’s time for lunch and we’ll eat overlooking the gorgeous village of Gerroa, perched alongside the stunning Seven Mile Beach, with vast views across the beach and ocean.
Your rustic-style Australian lunch of your choice will be accompanying views simply unsurpassed in the region!
After lunch, we’ll stroll along a short stretch of ultra-secluded Seven Mile Beach.
Here we’ll have a chance to dip your toes in the water and enjoy the warm sun on your skin as the waves gently roll in front of us. Is that a wallaby watching from the forest, waiting for her chance to swim?!?
From here, it's off to the quaint historical village Berry, which was settled hundreds of years ago.
You’ll enjoy a short walk through the beautiful town, with dessert served from the Famous Berry Donut Van.
The van has been institution for decades and is famous for its hot, fresh Australian-style cinnamon donuts. You’ll definitely crave more than one!
Then, we’ll head west into Kangaroo Valley and back up the mountains.
This famous rainforest valley has an abundance of wildlife including wallabies, kangaroos, wombats, echidnas, and lyrebirds. The valley is green and lush for most of the year, and has areas of rainforest and rich escarpments as backdrops of incredible beauty.
Our final stop for the day is the remarkable Fitzroy Falls, a hidden and understated gem, situated on the edge of the mountains.
Featuring a lookout with expansive views of one of Australia’s most stunning and surprising waterfalls, this location is known primarily to locals only. Keep your eyes peeled because we’ll walk right past a protected area for platypus – a uniquely Australian sight!
After that, our full-day journey of the truly wonderful South Coast of New South Wales will end at around 7:00 PM upon our return to our pick up point, The Ace Hotel in Sydney.
