Norwegian Jewel Refit has us impressed
This week the Planetdwellers team were pleased to inspect the latest incarnation of the Norwegian Jewel cruise ship while she was docked in Sydney.
Overall the refit impressed us. She was in dry dock for only two weeks in Singapore while over 1800 workers completed the massive transformation.
24 venues had quite substantial makeovers which give the ship an extra level of class. Gone are the glaringly bright colours and plastic palm trees. In their place are stylish tones in the fittings, drapes, carpets and furniture. The result is a warm and welcoming shipboard experience.
We saw this video on the day, and it underscores the dramatic changes and the fresh feel of the ship.
Norwegian Jewel is currently finishing up the Australian Summer season and then will head north through Asia and across to Alaska before making its way down the North American west coast. She will then head through Hawaii and the South Seas before heading back to Australia for next summer.
If you’d like to experience the Norwegian Jewel close-up, talk to us about a cruise on her or one of the other ships in the Norwegian Cruise Lines fleet. We can find you a great cruising holiday.
